Hi, my name is Heather Semon. I am a 1st grade teacher in Las Vegas, NV. I am currently pursuing a degree in Educational Technology through Boise State University. I am eager to learn and to post about my journeys throughout my schooling.
This is a place where I will be posting about my successes and how I have regained strength from my failures. There will be projects, documents, and web site links posted as well. I hope that you are able to enjoy learning with me as I discuss my adventures on this new journey I am embarking upon.

Hi Heather! It's wonderful to meet you! When I first began reading people's introductions last week, I felt like I was all alone on a desert island as an elementary teacher. I've been really excited to discover that while we may be few and far between, I'm not alone! It will be great to get to know you this semester!

ReplyDeleteHi Heather, nice to meet you. I started my teaching career in Las Vegas teaching at a middle school and enjoyed the two years that I lived their. I found that their was so much more to Clark County than the stereotypical non resident realizes. I look forward to learning from you in our small group.

ReplyDeleteI live outside Chicago, but have been to Vegas more times than I can count for everything from Vacation to bowling tournaments! My folks have a 2nd home in Henderson, so I try to make it out there at least once a year just to get away. I'm also enrolled in 502 this semester, so I look forward working with you. ReplyDeleteI haven't ever been to Vegas, but I'm sure i'll get there some day. I'm curious about how much technology you use in 1st grade. I have a daughter who is just starting pre school, so I'm wondering what she'll be doing in a few years. The way technology is going, I'm sure I'd be surprised by the answer. I look forward to working with you.
